Winberie’s Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Since 1984, Winberie’s Restaurant & Bar has served as a beloved gathering spot for the Princeton, New Jersey, community. Thank you for celebrating with us and making our spring events, including our 40th Anniversary Party, a huge success!

The celebration keeps rolling with “rewind dishes” to our menu that showcase guest favorites from the past. Don’t let September slip away without twirling into a bowl of Fresh Fettuccine with our famous Blackened Chicken, Shrimp and Cajun Parmesan Cream Sauce while we highlight the spirits from Willet Family Distillery.

We’ll also feature more local distiller-inspired cocktails, collaboration brews and tap takeovers from partners who are helping us mark this milestone with Old Hights Brewery joining us in October and more recipes to cook from our archives.

      • Willett Family Distillery Partnership
        • We’re kicking off the fall season by turning our attention to Kentucky and Bourbon as we celebrate Willett Family Distillery. We’ll feature their own Barrel Aged Old Fashioned from a newly debuted barrel, a special tasting flight of Bourbons. Not to be missed is whatever creativity our Bar team is “distilling” into a glass along with a few other Willet Bourbon-inspired mixed cocktails!
      • Whiskey Tasting
        • On Thursday, September 26, don’t miss a Whiskey Tasting, including Willett Bourbon and merchandise giveaways, sponsored by our friends at Opici Distributors, who have been amazing partners in procuring the finest beverages for Winberie’s.

⏪ Rewind Dish of the Month – Cajun Chicken & Shrimp Fettuccine

Although our approach to pasta has evolved over time, we’ll celebrate nostalgia from the ’80s & ’90s with this addictive Winberie’s classic inspired by the trendy New Orleans flavors of those days. Come on in and get your fix for Blackened Chicken, Shrimp and Fettuccine tossed in a Parmesan Cream Sauce with Roasted Peppers and Scallions

      • Old Hights Brewery Partnership
        • We’re excited to bring you the local flavors of Old Hights Brewing Company from Hightstown, New Jersey. In the all-important month of Oktoberfest we’ll be featuring their traditional Marzen-style “Headed Downtown Oktoberfest” for the whole month, along with Live Like V (Honey Wheat Ale), Blackberry Fizzle (Fruited Sour) and Frog Catcher (Hazy Pale Ale).

        • We’ll be tapping a new Old Hights release to debut exclusively with us to help celebrate our 40th anniversary
      • TCNJ Alumni Happy Hour
        • Little Water & Old Hights will team up again for this event with giveaways, free beer samples and raffles.
      • Kick the Keg
        • Be a fashionista! Whichever guest kicks a keg of Old Hights beer in October gets an Old Hights shirt.

⏪ Rewind Dish of the Month – Veggie Chili Nachos

Big on flavor and a little lighter on the stomach, you won’t miss the meat in this classic pub snack blast from the past. Vegetables, beans and blend of dried and fresh chili peppers slowly simmered with tomatoes hit the spot with every bite.
